Think of it asLike opening an official brand counter right inside your building: the goods, staff and processes are exactly like the main store.

When to use it

✓ Use it when

You need ultra-low latency to on-prem systems, local data processing, or data that must be stored on-site.

✗ Avoid it when

You only need to be close to users in a major city → Local Zones; no on-site hardware needed → a regular Region.

Common uses

  • Factories that need to process production data on-site
  • Banks and hospitals with data residency rules
  • Gradually modernizing on-prem applications

What does it cost?

  • Pricing model: Pay by hardware configuration with a multi-year commitment (all upfront, partial upfront or no upfront).
⚠️ Cost traps

Long-term commitment; requires a stable connection back to the parent Region.
